Ibn ‘Abbas narrated: “For fever, and all pains, the Prophet (Sallal lahu alaihi wasallam) would teach them to say: بِسْمِ اللهِ الْكَبِيرِ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ عِرْقٍ نَعَّارٍ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَرِّ النَّارِ – At Tirmidhi, Book 2 Hadith 2075
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (Sallal lahu alaihi wasallam) said, “None of you should wish for death because of a calamity befalling him; but if he has to wish for death, he should say: اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي، وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي – Sahih al-Bukhari 5671
